Bipartisan Delegation Expresses Concern

Massachusetts Congressman Seth Moulton was part of a bipartisan group of House lawmakers who visited Ukraine amid growing concerns over Russian aggression.

Moulton, a Democrat, said he and his colleagues were "deeply concerned" about the situation and worried that the United States was not doing enough to deter Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"If we allow Putin to go unchecked, it will send a message to other dictators that they can do whatever they want," Moulton said in a statement.

The delegation of six Democrats and six Republicans met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other top Ukrainian officials during their unannounced trip.

They also visited the front lines of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, where Ukrainian forces are battling Russian-backed separatists.

The delegation's visit comes as the Biden administration is considering sending additional military aid to Ukraine.

Putin has denied that Russia is planning to invade Ukraine, but he has amassed over 100,000 troops on the Ukrainian border.

The United States and its allies have warned that Russia will face severe consequences if it invades Ukraine.
