Former Barcelona boss returns to club management

Enrique has signed a two-year contract with the French giants

Luis Enrique has been appointed as the new head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, the club has announced. The former Barcelona and Spain manager has signed a two-year contract with the French giants, replacing Mauricio Pochettino, who was sacked last month.

Enrique, 52, left his role as Spain coach after last summer's European Championship and has been out of work since then. He has a wealth of experience in club management, having previously coached Barcelona, Celta Vigo and Roma.

Enrique is a highly-rated coach and his appointment is a major coup for PSG. He is known for his attacking style of play and his ability to get the best out of his players. He will be tasked with leading PSG to their first Champions League title, as well as winning the Ligue 1 title and the Coupe de France.

PSG are one of the richest clubs in the world and have a squad full of world-class players, including Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi. Enrique will be expected to challenge for all the major trophies this season.
